Technical SEO Intern

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Technical SEO Intern to help improve website visibility and search engine rankings for our business and our clients. You’ll work alongside our digital team on audits, keyword strategy and site performance, and you’ll gain hands-on experience with real client projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical SEO audits and report on findings.
- Help optimise website structure, speed and overall performance.
- Carry out keyword research and implement it across pages.
- Monitor search engine rankings and track changes.
- Identify and help resolve SEO issues.
- Prepare SEO reports and clear recommendations.
- Support clients with their SEO needs on the business side, including explaining results and suggesting improvements.
- Help train and guide team members or clients on SEO basics (an added advantage).

- Recently completed a degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Basic understanding of SEO concepts (on-page, off-page, technical SEO).
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or SEMrush/Ahrefs (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Added Advantage
Ability to teach or explain SEO to others, whether through training, tutoring, presentations or workshops.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CMS platforms (such as WordPress) or website performance tools.
Previous SEO projects, a personal website or relevant certifications.
